CAST Advantage™ is our Fully Featured Die Casting Machine Interface, developed in the US, using the latest in software development platforms. This interface includes Monitoring Setup, Profiles, SPC, Analysis, Security and History Features. CAST Advantage™ includes Exclusive New Features never before included in monitoring software.

Features:

• Process Screens – display summary of machine performance and process data, and provide entry point for user to adjust machine, analysis and process set points. Screens are fully configurable, and can display any values from machine.
• Shot Profile Screen – displays current or historical shot profile in a position to time format. Dual cursors allow user to see actual values and perform measurements. Profile stacking and reference profile capability included. Full profile analysis values computed.
• Shot Setup Screen – intuitive interface to quickly enter in desired shot profile using both open loop and closed loop values.
• Process Trend Charts – plot any process value over a given time period or specified number of shots.  Software automatically performs statistical calculations with each shot. Can also link to any specified shot profile from previous data point.
• Process Analysis – continuously updated analysis of current and historical data highlights parameters which exhibit the most variance, parameters that are currently outside the limits and those that are most often outside the defined limits.
• Process Setup File Management – stores setup files for later use. 
• Warning and Alarm limits allow process engineers to set limits on process values, and take action when values exceed limits.
• Machine History – tracks process adjustments, shots, mode changes, machine alarms, etc. and saves to the database for later reference and reporting.
• Process Data Storage – process values and shot profiles saved in standard Microsoft SQL Server database for later analysis and trending.
• Optional Remote Data Access and Management – Connectivity to an enterprise-wide monitoring and data access software package.  This stand-alone remote monitoring software provides a window into all of your current and past production data, including shot profiles, shot settings, and any other PLC data you collect.
• Tool Management – allows operator to enter tooling information which is associated with resulting process data in database. This may be linked directly to the Symphony database for a streamlined process.
• Advanced Security – centralized management supports user/password, barcode, RFID and thumbprint authentication measures with addition of appropriate hardware.
• Advanced Shot Valve Diagnostics – this state-of-the-art interface to the high performance shot valves will provide a window to view the feedback signals from the main and pilot stages of the TDL valve(s).  Reference data will be available to compare the current performance of each stage of the valve to facilitate diagnostic and performance evaluation.  This will allow maintenance personnel to plan preventative maintenance on the system before serious quality or performance issues are evident.

The heart of CAST ADVANTAGE™ hardware package includes the following features:

• All components are stock off-the-shelf readily available control products; proprietary hardware is not used.
• High-speed data acquisition capability monitors position, velocity, and 4 additional analog signals.
• Designed for use with any combination of touch screen, mouse and keyboard.
• Communications consist of standard Ethernet TCP/IP protocols and infrastructure (proprietary communications schemes are not used).
